A constellation of
No shooting stars, only silence and a constellation—still, perfect—that sparked an idea: to tell a new story, one yet to be written, one to be lived. A story that today is called Oxenfeld.
I have looked up at this sky countless times. But that night, it felt different.
I am an agronomist by vocation, raised among vines and memories, with a grandfather who used to say that wine is born in the vineyard. Today I know that it begins there, but it takes shape in the cellar—through hands, choices, and patience.
For me, wine has always been a direct story, without embellishment. As a student, at the end of summer, I would spend my days in the rows, sampling grapes and analyzing musts, waiting for the perfect moment to begin the harvest.
That same search for truth lives in every bottle of Oxenfeld.
It is also woven into the symbols that have accompanied my family for centuries: the ox in our crest, the name Bossi derived from bovis, the title von Ochsenfeld—“Campobove.” All speak of land, animals, and agricultural labor passed down through generations.
Roots that meet the sky, where the constellation Boötes tells of the herdsman who guarded the oxen and taught mankind the art of the plow. It is the same constellation that shone over Sant’Antonio the night Oxenfeld was born: a luminous presence, almost a sign, guiding and protecting us at the start of this journey.
Nicola and Roberto
This project also lives thanks to Nicola Biasi—an award-winning winemaker whose intuition and craft have given shape to my dream, turning vision into wine.
And thanks to Roberto Matuzzi, my steadfast vineyard foreman—tireless, ever-present, with the magic touch of a true grower. We share values even before goals: respect, harmony, simplicity.
Just as the vineyard thrives on balance, so too does wine arise from harmony between people.
Oxenfeld is not meant to grow bigger, but to grow true.
A place revealed step by step, where silence is cherished and returned as wine.
A wine like a star: timeless, far from trends, yet close to what is real.
